About:

CodinGuru is being organized at national level as students from different universities across Pakistan are invited to exhibit their coding skills. It is being supervised by Department of Computer Science, SSE, LUMS. Our purpose is to broaden and enlighten the concept of programming among students as it is important for learning to innovate and to create Eco-friendly solutions for global problems.

CodinGuru 2020 is all set to be bigger, brighter and bolder than its predecessor. Continuing the legacy of the previous year, the delegates will be given the opportunity to prove their mettle through C++, Java, Python.The event will proceed over two days instead of one and  the delegates will be presented with unique problems in a number of interesting modules. Following two days of exciting programming challenges, participants will be treated with the social night: LUMS famous Food Street. Colorful lights and delectable food will wrap up CodinGuru 2.0.

Coding Competition

Coding Competition will be the first module of the event, which will test the participants on their coding skills. The questions will be presented to the teams, who will be assessed on the basis of their coding speed and skill. The winners of this round will not only be awarded shields but they will also take home a cash prize of worth Rs. 40,000/-

Software Exhibition

Testing the software engineering skills of the participants, the teams will have to use their creativity to come up with inspiring applications. Along with a idea behind the application, the teams will also be tested on their skills of presenting the application to a panel of experienced judges. All the participants will be competing for a grand cash prize of Rs. 20,000/-

Hackathon

The final module of the event, “Hackathon” will be a competition between the teams who qualify the earlier rounds. The teams will have to spend effort and time on web or application development during the Theme based hackathon. The winning team will be awarded a Rs. 30,000/- cash prize along with other winning awards.
